Farm Signage

Agriculture is a high-risk industry and farms can be dangerous places.

Farm signs can be used to reduce the likelihood of incidents occurring.

The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 require a safety sign where there is significant risk to health and safety not controlled by other methods.

This means that following a risk assessment and applying the principles of the hierarchy of control, if significant risk to health and safety remains then safety signs must be displayed.

We can provide generic health and safety signs or design you farm-specific signs which outline emergency procedures and highlight locations of equipment such as first aid kits or fire extinguishers.

How Does it Work?

Our Farm Support during their farm visits and audits may advise you that safety signage could reduce the risks of accidents on farm. This will then become a priority on your Action Plan.

Generic farm safety signs are available from many suppliers but we are often asked by farmers to source and supply the signs as they do not have the time to order them themselves.

Our bespoke sign design service enables you to create signs with your farm name on and your site emergency plan such as the example below;

How Much Does it Cost?

For generic signage we will obtain three quotations and provide you with the most cost effective option.

For bespoke signage we will design your signs and then obtain three quotations for the size and material of sign to meet your requirements.
